How to Sew Merino Wool Clothing for Babies and Kids

How to Sew Merino Wool Clothing for Babies and Kids

I love sewing merino wool! It is breathable, antibacterial, moisture-wicking, and odor-resistant. Merino wool is soft and lightweight, and makes the best base layers, tops, leggings, baby clothes, hats, and more. In this post, I want to share tips, tricks,…

Enjoying the last of summer with my kiddos before Enjoying the last of summer with my kiddos before we go back to homeschool. We made it to one of my favorite places, #ferncanyon.
I’m glad I could do it at 34 weeks pregnant, as I’m definitely not feeling very athletic at the moment. We didn’t go in quite as deep, and I was grateful to have some help getting my toddler over logs.
We had such a great visit with family and longtime friends!
Now back to the reality that the school year is fast approaching. Summer is always such a needed break for me as a homeschool mom. More time for rest and creativity.

Favorite homeschool field trip to date!! Sailing o Favorite homeschool field trip to date!!
Sailing on the SF bay is something I’ve wanted to do for years. @callofthesea made it so fun for everyone. The kids studied marine mammals, took turns steering the boat, helped set the sails, took a water sample and studied plankton under a microscope, and practiced tying knots. Sailing right by the Golden Gate was such a treat!

I’m so thrilled with my latest linen dress, the I’m so thrilled with my latest linen dress, the #emmadresspattern by @silversagapatterns .
I used @fabricsstorecom signature finish linen which is one of my faves. There’s nothing like the feel of this linen against the skin, every time I make something with it I immediately want to order more. I can’t wait to make this pattern again very soon!

Sewing the Nori Wrap Dress for my daughter. 🪡 ✨
I’m not officially participating in #memademay2025 for myself. Being pregnant I’m struggling to figure out what to wear at the moment, but I wanted to take this month to work on more spring and summer clothes for my daughter and share some glimpses of the process.
